Inspired by the sight of a fellow dolphin lover heading to Chanonry, I decided that I should pop down for a wee look. I am home alone this weekend (awww I hear you say? or maybe not)so this will give me the chance to get a much needed (and well deserved) photography fix.
There were plenty of dolphins around which was great and as you can see there was some action too. Lot's of fish chasing and a wee bit of breaching.
My evening consisted of a setting up the camera trap at the hide and a couple of hours at another possible marten spot although nothing happened with the latter. On my way back I decided that it would be best to stop by and feed the marten with the cat kill mice and birds that have been in the boot since Thursday. This turned out to be well worth it as the food was gone and the camera contained some nice shots (nice by camera trap standards anyway)of a female marten! This all happened at 7pm in between another twenty or so woodpecker shots.
More tomorrow and maybe even a shot of the woodpecker!
