Playing safe.

I have had little (well no) luck with dolphins or martens over the past few weeks so decided to play it safe this weekend for the sake of getting some therapeutic photographs. The camera trap has managed to get some blurry marten shots at 10:00pm last night and 3:45 this morning. The trap also caught a woodpecker about 7 times so I guess they like the sound of the camera. Squirrels have also made another appearance and this has got my mind working on something for the future.

Take this great tit out of the picture and add a red squirrel. I have the image in my head already. Not bad eh?

Other photography from the weekend includes these beautiful Red deer stags with velvet antlers. They look so healthy in this lovely light and were happy to pose (at a safe distance) in groups and for individual shots too.

The camera trap is out again tonight with fresh road kill as bait however it may move soon as I have heard two different stories about badgers in daylight at a spot that’s accessible and not too far from here.

Watch this space.

Happy days!

James
